Engineers
We recognise that the engineering profession is diverse, and the services provided and projects undertaken vary significantly. We understand the difference between process engineering and process control engineering, as well as the difference between the activities of an environmental engineer and an environmental consultant. Similarly, policies offered by insurers vary significantly and some are not appropriate for certain firms. Some insurers, for example, impose exclusions for pollution, others for mining or bridges. Negotiating the most appropriate insurance program for you requires:
- a detailed understanding of your profession and individual business – what you do, who you do it for, the types of projects you are involved in and their different risk exposures
- the ability to best present your particular business to insurers – for example, we articulate your approach to risk management to encourage insurers to negotiate lower premiums
- an understanding of the broad range of products available and the ability to negotiate amendments to insurers’ off-the-shelf products to tailor them to your requirements.
You can be confident that we have the expertise to negotiate a competitive insurance package customised to your needs.
We have access to more than 25 different providers of Professional Indemnity insurance. And unlike some other brokers, we do not act for insurers or have preferential relationships with specific insurers. When arranging and advising on your Professional Indemnity insurance, we represent you, our client, and act as your agent.

“We were referred to Darren by several industry colleagues. Darren successfully arranged a bespoke policy in a short timeframe, covering our fire engineering exposures and satisfying our statutory requirements.”
